CLIENT Wilbur's Chocolate Factory, a family owned and operated business since 1983 is dedicated to the creation of innovative and premium chocolates. The company owners strive to create a family atmosphere in both their workplace as well as in their retail stores. Wilbur’s of Maine is a 7 time consecutive winner of DownEast Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Poll for Maine’s Best Chocolate and Best Candy Shop (2010-2016). GOALS Wilbur’s Chocolate Factory was looking for an updated wholesale package design that could be translated across product lines. Their current eclectic aesthetic made it difficult to establish a true brand identity throughout. The idea for this final packaging concept was to portray their fresh, local ingredients, while paying tribute to their Maine family factory origins. Overall packaging goal was to increase wholesale revenue, and increase numbers with larger accounts such as Amazon and Whole Foods.

RESULTS In retail environments that utilize the Planogram, revenue has increased by 66% compared to last year with updated packaging. At the 2019 New England Made Trade Show, wholesale orders were doubled from the previous year.
